Woodland
Woodland photography can present a real challenge - finding shapes and stories among the chaos of the trees. Sometimes the randomness is the picture, but I love looking for an element of simplicity too.
Often, fog and mist help to soften the background which is ideal, but the patchy light under the trees can make for some very appealing scenes too.
Equally, nestled in the undergrowth are micro-worlds of insects and fungi which play a vital role in the health of the woodland.
