I'd seen that the Milky Way would be visible to the south until moonrise, so I decided to add a trip to Stanage Edge to see if I could get a shot from amongst the rocks. What I didn't realise was that my visit would coincide with the Peak District Challenge, involving a number of runners and hikers who would be passing this spot with bright torches.

While it wasn't what I planned, their lights were a huge help in the end, as they provided some excellent light for the foreground!
