The sun setting through hazy cloud over Ladybower Reservoir in the UK's Peak District National Park, taken from Whinstone Lee Tor at the south end of Derwent Edge.

Whinstone Lee Tor

When you wander up Derwent Edge in the Peak District, it's very easy to stop for a cuppa here and then move on to the 'main events' of Wheelstones and the Salt Cellar, but on this occasion I decided to make this outcrop my destination for sunset. The view along Ladybower reservoir is beautiful and the slightly lower elevation makes more of the height of Kinder and Bleaklow in the distance.

The sky was beautiful too, with a covering of thin, high cloud which even produced a hint of a sundog out to the right hand side.
