I first found this old gate on a summer afternoon walk during the 2020 lockdowns. It struck me as a scene which would suit a variety of conditions, and with snowfall between Christmas and New Year I headed back to see how it looked.
I loved how the snow on the tree showed of the shape of its limbs, and the mossy gate stood out quite vibrantly from its pale srroundings.
